College-age Ministry

Who are College-age?

College-age individuals in the church are typically young adults who are between the ages of 18 and 24 and are actively pursuing higher education at a college or university. They may be enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs, and may be living either on campus or off campus. While some college-age individuals are still considered teenagers or youth in the context of the church, little churches have specific programs and ministries that cater to this particular stage of life. These programs may offer opportunities for spiritual growth, community-building, leadership development, and service-oriented ministry, and are designed to help college-age individuals integrate their faith with their academic pursuits and other areas of their lives.

College-age ministries are church programs designed to serve the unique needs and interests of young adults who are pursuing higher education. These programs provide a welcoming and supportive community where college-age individuals can connect with others who share their faith, explore questions of spirituality and identity, and develop their leadership skills.
